Hi, Dimples,

Thank you so much for letting us know! I am VERY happy for you. Congratulations!

Don't feel guilty for wanting to show your husband the truth. What he did to you was unfair, and he put you into a position where the only way you could get him to listen to you was for you to do exactly what you did. Better he should find out now, this way, than after it was too late. I think there are several stories in the Bible where someone deceived someone else, and God blessed that person for having done the right thing. The midwives in Egypt deceived their masters and claimed babies were born too fast for them to kill them, and Moses was hidden in bulrushes. Rahab hid the spies and let them down over the wall. Lying means not bearing false witness AGAINST your neighbor. When yo do it to protect your innocent neighbor, then there is nothing wrong with it. Corrie ten Boom hid Jews in her home to protect them from the Nazis. When Nazis came to the door, she'd lie and say there were none in the house. The Israelis planted a tree in Israel for her. If more Christians had been brave as she was, many more lives would have been saved.

Your husband needs time to think, but he will be OK.

Hugs,
Pat
