I am so sorry for what you are going through. If you are still pregnant, it's not necessarily the case your baby has been harmed. Don't assume that. Just because you drank and smoked on one occasion doesn't mean you have harmed your baby. If your baby survived, s/he should be OK.

That said, if you start to feel REALLY sick, go immediately to the emergency room. Don't wait! They may not have a lot of time to save you. I am so scared for you!

I'm sorry I can't help you feel less afraid. But I will be praying for you.

I went to the emergency room and stayed there all day....they did a blood test my hcg level was 76.3...so i guess that means everything is out...it just hit me right now seeing that on the paper that i had an abortion..

I have a stupid question...when you first get pregnant and what week does the hcg appear in your blood?

anyways i just wanted to let everyone know the result and thats all i will say for now...i dont really feel like talking tonight

Hi Jacequeline,

I'm so sorry. I know it's a big thing.

I don't know the exact answer to your biological question (when does HCG first appear) but I do know that when I got test results with my son it showed high HCG levels and I was only 3-4 weeks pregnant. So it's probably before then. Google would probably know.

Please hang in there and continue decompressing verbally/in writing when you need to. You've done such a great job of that since your first post here - articulating and thinking through things.

I am relieved to hear that apparently you are OK medically. I was worried about you.

Please know that we are here for you, and you can come here and talk when you are ready. We will do our best to help you work through any feelings you are having. Also, please know that I am sorry for the difficulties you have had, and I will continue to remember you in my prayers.
