Hi Luftblasen,

Firstly, welcome to the forum! I can understand your dilemma. There are a couple of options I can think of for you. The first, is that in I believe all states now there is what's called the 'Safe Haven Law' which grants any woman to bring her newborn to the nearest hospital or police station and dropt them off with absolutely no questions asked. The baby will be placed with another family that is wanting to adopt.
The law was put in place to try to eliminate the increasing deaths of newborns that were delivered then left to die by scared moms. There are absolutely no questions asked, or any judgment at all.

But regarding care for you during your pregnancy and delivery, the best option I can think of would be to look up your cities local Crisis Pregnancy Center and ask for their advice and help. They exist to help women in unplanned pregnancies find ways to make their situation work without having to add the violence of abortion to their lives. They are an enormous source of support and help, emotionally and very practically, too. They would know of any resources available in your area to help you remain anonymous, I think. At the very least I would call them and present your situation.

You can find your closest one by googling 'pregnancy resource centers online' or looking in your yellow pages under 'abortion alternatives.'

How has your pregnancy been so far? I had pretty bad morning sickness for the first trimester but it got much better after that. Soon you should be able to feel your baby moving (anywhere from 14-17 weeks.) Take good care of yourself and post anytime with updates or questions.

With Kindness,

Heather

Hi, Luftblasen,

I am so glad you came! I agree you should find a crisis pregnancy agency. They will help you. You should be able to confide in them, and they should be able to help protect you. Certainly, they will help you deal with any issues, especially the ones that made you run away. They have lots of experience, and they will really care about you.

Heather is right that there are laws that will allow you to drop off your baby with no questions asked. You may or may not need to avail yourself of this, but it is good you know it is an option. With the help of the crisis pregnancy agency, you will make decisions concerning how to protect and care for your baby, and whether or not you decide to parent your child once s/he is born.

Here is a link to a place that lists agencies and provides online counseling:

Good luck with this. We are here for you any time you need to talk.

Hugs,
Pat
