Hello,
I am currently taking Aviane birth control and have been doing so for about seven or eight months, and for about 4 or 5 months prior to that i was taking Alesse. As you are supposed to take the pills at the same time each day i take them at around nine o clock at night due to my busy schedule. I have started my pills on sunday and am "supposed" to have my period sometime on or after the 30th.
On Saturday the 22, I had unprotected sex. It was not until Around ten o clock on the monday after (the 24th) that I realized i had forgotten to take my pill on the Sunday (23) the day after i had had unprotected sex. On the monday (24) i did take my pill as usual as well as the one i had missed on Sunday. I did take my pill for the Saturday (the day i had unprotected sex) but not for the next day Sunday.
I am very worried, that because of the timing during m cycle, that i may be pregnant. I know now that it is too late for any form of emergency contraceptive. And seeing as it is Friday now i only have the one more day to wait until i can find out for sure if i am pregnant. I was just wondering what the likelihood of my being pregnant was and wether or not i should, or am even able to take a pregnancy test now to find out even sooner.
I'm sorry I didn't see your post sooner, as I know you needed a quicker response. You may have started your cycle and no longer need my advice, but yes, you can purchase home pregnancy test that can detect pregnancy up to 5 days before a missed period.
