Ok folks....it's that time of year again.....PMU Foal Quest is getting geared up for 2002 adoptions. They are now accepting applications. www.pmufoalquest.com
Soon the new babies will be born and pictures will go up on the web to pick out your foal from. I'll keep you posted!

We are now setting up drop offs all over the US.

We are in NEED of dropoffs in WV and OH.

Drop offs require special facilites because these foals are wild. Requirements are as follows:

PMU FoalQuest Drop-Off Requirements

Drop-off locations can be anywhere that is safe and suitable for the quick loading and unloading of foals. Some potential sites include:

 Private farms or stables
 Auction marts
 Fair grounds
 Riding arenas or facilities

Specific requirements are explained further below.

FENCING

Fencing should be secure enough to hold 14 to 19 young foals with no chance of escape or damage to property or foals. This will be preferably be made of planks, boards, solid (wood) rails, pipe, etc. Minimum height of 4 feet, NO BARBED WIRE or large pastures.

There must be a smaller area or catch pen within the main pen/corral with some sort of an alleyway set up for sorting and loading and unloading foals. It is much too stressful for the foals if they have to be chased around a large pen while being sorted.
The catch pen/alleyway can simply be set up temporarily using portable panels.

LOCATION

A drop-off must have sufficient space for a truck hauling a 30 foot trailer to pull in, unload, and turn around.
Ideally drop offs should be located as close as possible to main routes.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

 Access to clean, fresh water and hay
 Adequate shelter from rain, wind or snow. ( run-in shed, windbreak, etc. )
 Drop-off person(s) must be available and present when the hauler is scheduled to arrive.

Adopters are to arrange to have their foal picked up within 48 hours of their arrival at the drop off location. Adopters will be responsible for the cost of any feed and care after this 48 hour period.

To avoid injury to humans and foals…please ensure that you only allow experienced people in the corrals to sort and load the foals.

We’d like to have at least one drop-off per state/province, and two or three for larger states/provinces. Please contact your local area rep if you have suitable facilities or could help arrange for one in your area.

If anyone is interested or knows someone who is...please feel free to email me at meddy@rcvideo.com
