Subject: symphonies sounding

Thin female entered the vast hall, seeming to not even notice the students as she drifted into the shadows. Eyes were somewhat transparent, glazed with confused emotion as she stared at everything and yet nothing. They remained unfocused even as they moved over the docile students, having calmed after the recent endeavor concerning 'the beautiful people' and their victims, or perhaps their prosecueters in this matter. Flinched as the English boy, Harry Potter, and his friend passed by without giving her a second glance. She had noticed the male's discontent as she had entered shortly behind he. Figure was leaned against the wall, still staring off into nothing as a symphony blazed in her mind. It was one she played often when locked in her own little world in her dorm, and now she tried to drown out the noice around her with its memorized chords. Lips forming the lyrics silently as if to comfort, "O môr henion i dhû: Ely siriar, êl síla." It was only after months of listening to its comforting embrace of sound that she had memorized the foreign tongue. It did comfort her, especially now during a dip in depression. Though these dips occured often, mostly of late, they healed. They healed with time, though having no one to speak with only took more time. Digits itched the maroon tinted scabs and scars that dashed along her forearms before they were masked once again by the flowing sleeves of her robe.

[ooc: song is Aníron from Lord of the Rings (performed by Enya). The exact words she used mean
"From darkness I understand the night
dreams flow, a star shines"
Lord I feel better. I've been wanting to post with her for two flippin' days. -bounces off, content-]

Head began to swim as the murmur of the coversation around her rose and fell in a steady tide, overriding the wall she was trying in vain to build. Why couldn't she let it all go? For so many it was easy to let go of their distressing histories and move on into the newer beginning. What prevented her from doing the same? Were her genetics somehow different? Her parents had in truth been abnormal, or she wouldn't be where she was now. It seemed as with a relative dying breath she had lived, but with a dying breath she could not give. Each failed attempt weighed like a ton of bricks upon her heavy broken heart. The quiet murmur of the students had become a obnoxious roar in her ears, ringing and driving her to the brink of insanity. With a desperate groan she dashed out of the great hall, seeking solitude in the halls to escape its [the Gatherplace's] suffocating embrace.
