Lips were pursed momentarily as her gaze wandered between the male and his little buddy bee. After focusing her attention on Nick, she replied, "Bored wouldn't be the right adjective, actually. Wary, mayhaps, for it doesn't seem you are very entertained with me, either." She reached toward the table, taking a glass in her grasp. "And I'm not exactly sure what to do about it. It doesn't seem that my usual tricks will work upon you." Sip was taken from the glass, lips smacking dramatically as she finished, "Ah, and the kitchen's have yet to substitute their usual mineral water."

Nicolas shrugged, aloof nature stuck with him. He sort of wanted not to seem to flippant, but it was a nature that stayed with him, like his remoteness. Anyway, he replied, “It takes a lot to get me interested. It’s probably why I’m at a lack of company. But don’t take it the wrong way. It’s not like I’d ever be bored with you, unless you really annoy me.” He smiled, looking up, thinking for a moment. “I think it happened once. I was at The Lounge and this girl was staring at me and the situation got so lame that I totally shrugged her off and walked away. I didn’t care if it was mean. It bothers me when people are beautiful yet have absolutely no substance.”

"So I suppose you believe that beauty is only skin deep?" Soft laughter was given as she set the glass back upon the table. Hand retreated before she began to speak once again, "Well, Nick, do tell me whenever I begin to annoy you so that the matter may be thwarted." Listened intently to his reminesce [spelling?] of leaving the girl in the lounge, brows arching as she allowed a chuckle, "You just left her there? I wonder if she's still sitting there, worrying about where you went off to."

“Not quite. Beautiful people are beautiful people; some have nothing more to offer than their exterior, that’s all. And those are the people I can’t stand. I mean, we’re fuckin’ teenagers… I want a fucking conversation, not sex. A pretty face doesn’t suffice for some sort of entertainment other than staring admirably, if that can even be considered entertainment. So, no, beauty isn’t only skin deep. Some people are really beautiful inside.” He stopped before he continued with cheesy clichés, rolling his eyes at the question about the girl.

“I wouldn’t have given second flying fuck if she was still there, worried or not. I mean, I didn’t give one after only two minutes of her exuberant presence. Poor little shit just scurried off to be boring with other people.” Vulgar? Callous? Obviously, Nick didn’t care, and obviously, yes he damn was.
