Aliena entered the den, excitement coursing through her. She let out a tiny gasp of awe when she saw the mother lioness and her cubs. She approached the mother and bowed gracefully. "Hello ma'am. My name is Aliena and I was wondering if I could possibly bond with one of daughters, perhaps even the Londi-Thra. Although I would be very honored and lucky indeed to get such a gift." She giggled slightly at her own brashness. Then, bowing slightly again, Aliena sat near the wall watching the cubs as they played. She smiled as her mother's words from the day she left came back to her. Remember Aliena, She had said, stroking her 'Cat's back, Remember that you must be strong and smart. You must show no fear or anger or sadness. Never ask anything of others if you would not ask it of yourself. You are a good leader Aliena, good luck The next day her parents and younger sister had been killed by the Nuri. Hate swelled within Aliena when the thought of such distasteful and evil creatures came to mind. She would kill every Nuri if she had to, just her and her 'Cat. That is, if she impressed one. But of course I will, she thought, banishing the fear of rejection from her mind.
