Jan keeps going "Oh, Puh-leez!" at the ads. And then yesterday when I was fretting about the end and saying I hoped it was FITTING and SATISFYING...he up and says that "He thought I knew better by now...and HE always knew the X-Files was a pointless exercise in paranoia. Dark and spooky but ultimately going NOWHERE." Which is why Jan says HE stopped watching in Season Three...because he could TELL that CC didn't have anything else to say but "Be Afraid" and that was completely juvenile.

Anyway, as I am sure you all know...I have been on such a Anti-CC rant for the last year that it is hard to argue with my SO now...but I do think that the show only went downhill after Season 6...and I still believe that CC came very close to GREATNESS and in my mind it all hinges on how they handle this one episode. All could be forgiven as far as I am concerned if we get an ounce of Sense or Profound meaning out of the thing in the end.

still worried and hoping that CC proves my SO wrong...I would seriously love it...because I already felt like a jerk for watching Season 7 & 8...I would really hate to have JAN proved out as TV visionary all the way back in Season 3...Imagine the smugness...sheesh!
