Maybe that's why Release, about Doggett's son, was so close to the end. It was the conclusion of sorts to the Doggett storyline so then the M&S story could take center stage, which was the right way to go IMO. Maybe he was mad because Doggett still wouldn't believe in Mulder's aliens at the trial.

It maybe too medical and too time consuming for them to explain in the finale but I'd love to hear a full explanation about the pregnancy hows and whys sometime!
