The lone Timber Wolf by the name of Sam wandered back into a slightly familiar territory. He had been here once before but just passed through. He shook the water from his coat from the rain. The air was thick and moist. The pile of timber caught his attention. He walked over slowly questioning look played over his face staring at the foam. "What the.." He thought out loud. HE stood next to it sniffing it. No smell. How strange.. the canine has a great sense of smell. How could it give off no smell? This was definitely not normal.

He looked around the territory for something to touch it with. He wasn't the brightest wolf ut he was stupid enough to just jump in the foam. He saw a twig but that wouldn't help. The foam formed on wood. He saw a dead leaf.. may be less helpful than the twig but it wouldn't hurt to try. He jogged over to lifeless leaf grabbing it up lightly in his mouth. He went back over to the foam dropping the leaf on it. He took a step back watching as nothing happened. "Guess it's just messed up moss." He turned about to walk away then heard a small his. He wheeled around. The foam bubbled light hissing noises seeped out of it. The leaf lifted upright. The brown of death became lighter and lighter becoming green again as if to give the leaf it's life back. Sam's eyes lit up stepping closer. The leaf became brighter and bright until neon. Veins in the leaf protruded. Then nothing... could he have found some miracle foam that brings life back? Before he could think of the possibilities the leaf suddenly was sucked of it's life bursting into a small flame. The flame quickly disappeared the leaf black now ashes scattered lightly on the foam. The foam sucked it up expanding.

Sam circled the foam. It seemed friendly and great but it wasn't. From what he saw.. the foam game so much life it killed. The foam was deffinetely alive.. but how alive? What could it possibly do if it spread? It might end life as we know it. He was jumping to conclusions he should test it again. He grabbed the twig he saw before. He placed it on the foam. The foam hissed lightly again doing what it had done to the leaf. Pushing life into it until it killed the twig again devouring the ashes. The Wolf grabbed a rock throwing it at the foam. The foam screeched hissing lightly once again. The rock was not and never was living what would it do with the rock? Sam thinking so much he didn't notice the foam grabbing the rock. Sam snapped back to reality watching the foam. Holding the rock for a moment the foam twirled it then hurled it at Sam hissing madly. The wolf dodged quickly growling at the foam.

The foam puffed up rising up into what looked like a large mound. It hissed madly lunging for Sam. Sam jumped out of the way the foam hitting a near by tree. The tree was squeezed with life becoming absolutely beautiful. It then as the leaf and twig burst into flames and turned lifeless dropping into ashes which the foam quickly soaked up. The foam grew twice it's size. Sam backed up. He knew the foam was aiming to eat him he was sure f it but instead it got the large tree. The tree must have fed it making it grow. The foam lay as it had when he came.. quiet and undisturbed as if working up more energy.

Sam looked around the territory trying to think of how to beat back the foam. He thought quickly. The foam ate anything living that was obvious. He tried to think of what he saw when he 1st saw the foam. It wasn't really there. Nothing was really different... except.. it was dry! The foam only appeared when it was moist! That didn't help. He couldn't just take the moisture out of the it forever. He would have to find another way. It seemed to hate the rock. Maybe.. maybe if he found a rock big enough it would kill it. Seemed pretty risky but what other choice did he have? He couldn't just let it kill everything on earth. He turned back to the foam which was rising up again. Sam took off in search of a large rock.

He ran across the forest looking quickly. He suddenly slid to a stop a large boulder sat by a tree. It was quite round but it sat quit deep in the ground. He looked around grabbing a strong branch off the ground. He jammed the branch into the ground right next to the boulder. He pushed a smaller rock to the branch. The wolf looked back towards the direction of the foam knowing he had to work quickly. He leaped on the boulder then onto the branch. The branch under it pushed the boulder out easily. Sam ran into it pushing it back towards the foam. The boulder rolled faster and faster. The foam was in sight. It was 3 times the size it was in the beginning and it was resting waiting to get enough energy for another victim. It had taken down another tree. The boulder rolled towards it. Sam slowed to a jog watching. The boulder rolled over it hitting a tree and stopping. The foam screamed loudly the bounder had cut it in half the half not on the timber faded into the ground bringing a beautiful patch of grass to the surface. The foam which was now it's normal size squirmed angry. It puffed up getting ready to lunge at Sam. Sam ran over to the boulder ramming into it rolled quickly towards the pile of timber. The foam had anticipated this and lunged into the boulder making it fly back towards Sam. He once again jumped out of the way. The boulder hit the tree shaking the tree so hard a huge branch broke off falling to the ground on top of Sam. The Wolf let out a piercing howl the fallen branch almost crushing and killing him. The boulder in the meantime had hit the tree with such a force it bounced back towards the foam. The foam was so tired it couldn't hold off the boulder which crushed it. A screech of pain came from the foam the deathly stench filling the air the foam fading into the now crushed timber. The timber came to life piecing itself together looking like a regular pile of fire wood. Silence.

Sam struggled to breathe. He had watched the whole thing. Slowly and painfully he pulled out from under the branch. He had cuts all over him but nothing deep. e was more worried about the foam. He slowly walked over to the pile of timber. He stared at it... no foam it had seemed as he had defeated it. Or had he? He would just have to hope he had and if he hadn't.. he hoped no one would disturb it. He walked off to find somewhere with water to wash his wounds and possibly a peaceful place to rest.
