..The Lonely & Gone... -- Midnight Angel, 14:38:22 01/17/03 Fri (65.148.3.135)
To the painted femora there seemed to be no hope for her wandering hadn't succeeded anything, but then the vocals of a familar voice came. Joy over came her weary body as she realized the screams belonged to her son, Heaven's Blazes. She hadn't truely given up hope in the matter but was near her last drop. With all the strength in her body she let out the long stong nicker to her son to let him know of her where abouts.

~*~Something Calls For Thee~*~ ...The Lonely & Gone... -- Heaven's Blazes & Midnight Angel, 14:49:32 01/17/03 Fri (65.148.3.135)
Steed joyfully heard her calls over the embers but only barley enough to find her. He swoped bringing his figure down beside her, squinting his optics and lowering his cranium as his copied his dam. Helped as he yelled over the roaring to follow him, he tried to take to the air but couldn't baffled he looked to his mother.
"You can't take to the air my son, for once you land your wings will be filled with soot", she called.
He nodded then turned remembering how far the were from the cliffs of the terrian and headed for them for he now had an idea. Slowly he weaved his way through the walls of embers and reached the edge of the cliff and yelled to his dam "Jump!" Though she looked baffled she trusted her son and followed him with the jump. As the spun downward the wind against them filtered through their wings knocking out the soot. He began to fly above the waters and hoped the same had happened to his mother.
QUickly she did the same but she fell longer ,her air born limbs would filter out more. Finally she swerved above the deadly sharp rocks and ocean and hovered beside her son speachless, that he'd saved her life.
He understood and a grin creased his handsome face showing she needn't say anything.

* a r r i v a l . -- Almase, 09:29:21 01/18/03 Sat (205.188.209.75)
At a headlong gallop the mare races out of the neighboring Chandi. She halts at the beginning to the territory, staring at the flames, terrified to enter them, and yet knowing that she must. Taking in a huge breath of air, she plunges forth, dodging flames, leaping through to find Heaven's Blazes -- her Empathy picks something up, as it leaves the territory: Savage joy? Someone casually ignoring the destruction? It feels like a blackblood. Almase pauses, then decides that she can find the one responsible for this later. She plunges onward, and then comes at last to the edge of a cliff. Looking down, she sees two figures hovering side-by-side over the water. One she recognizes as being Heaven's Blazes. "Well don't just get out of here, hover there!" she calls out sarcastically, and then coughs as she breathes in smoke. She then adds, dropping the sarcasm, "No one normal could stay like that forever you know, or even long enough for the fire to die down, so don't expect yourselves to!" She looks back and gasps, seeing that the fire has cut her off from the back. "No rest for the weary," she grumbles, and takes off, running along the cliff, searching for a way to escape. She finds it in a small, nearly unnoticeable path down the cliff, which she takes without a second thought, despite the fact that it is very narrow and she can easily die if she takes one wrong step. She goes down it as quickly as she dares, then upon finding it to be a dead end, she looks up and sees that there is no way she can make it back up even when the fire dies down, she looks back down again. Thankfully, the trail ends right down by the sea, and she leaps to a large, flat rock nearby. Unprepared for its slipperiness, caused by the water, she goes sprawling, like a foal just beginning to learn to stand. If unicorns could blush, she would be a bright red, as she picks herself up and stands cautiously on the rock.

~*~Something Calls For Thee~*~ ...The Lonley & Gone... -- Heaven's Blazes & Midnight Angel, 17:15:11 01/18/03 Sat (64.12.96.169)
Hovering steed's optics followed the femora recognizing her instantly as Almase, the mare who'd accepted him into the Silver Coppice alliance. He couldn't beleive she'd followed him, not only was he almost a stranger to her but after the fit he'd pulled at Castlecrest that any of the equines within the group would want to help "him". His facial emotions clearly shown of his worry for her. He swoped upon the smoke filled air down beside her and landed gracefully pon' his limbs. There was no need of embaressment for he was over joyed any of the members of the alliance would care so much for one another. He knew not to scorn her for risking her life just to follow him. For he knew that if she'd went through the hell he had to get here it would anger her. He could only think of one possible thing to say as the deep ebon optics darted searching for a trail to escape the blazes , "Why would one such as yourself wish to follow me into my unknown destination just to help me, I could have gone mad and you followed me?" He'd never felt any sort of caring except from his mother, for his sire deceist soon after his birth. Finally searching visions caught sight of the tiny trail incircling the pennisula, he could only hope it would lead upon the edge of Chandni. He called to his dam and ALmase to follow as he cantered along the edge halting constantly for falling burning debree. Luckily the border between Na Jaane Kyon was stoned so as the fire wouldn't continue from this single territory. With his hopes the small trail did lead to the border of Chandni, he walked out slightly into the mad waters beside them so as to coverthem with the waters to prevent burn as they'd have to run through a single wall of flames to exit the territory. He bounded up the rocky ledges and dissappeared from the territory through the fire.
Painted femora saw that her offspring was familar with the femora and swoped downward at her son's call to follow. She coughed heavily with smoke filled lungs but slowly followed after him. Copying him and soaking her limbs she finally escaped her homeland, by dissappearing through the embers glancing back occationally to see that the bay fatale was following.

The bay mare sighs. "Here we go again." She leaps onto the trail and trots along after Heaven's Blazes, coughing slightly.
