Subject: pick o' the draw - new girl in town

i'm the pick of the draw
the cream of the crop
get a tailhair of me
that'll be all you got

so muster your courage
slick back your hair
and make sure there's nothing
stuck in your teeth

Queenie of delicate heritage graces the terra, slim elms moving her in a weaving pattern amongst the trees. Her hooves sink into the thick underbrush that struggles to survive in the meager sunlight that managed to trickle through the trees. Her bright eyes, one amber, one blue, scan the thick foliage for an opening, and in the tiny windows that dot the green she only manages to see a huge mountain, ferocious and enticing. My next stop, she thought dangerously, her hopes climbing with every second. This land promised such heightened amusment and excitment. Joy.

She found herself at the edge of a stream after a time, she noticed because her hooves were no longer covered in shrubs but rested firmly on sand. Water. Painted nose lowered to the refreshing Life Force of the world, she gulped thirstily. After she had had her fill, she wondered what to do with herself now. Her pelt twitched with irritation against the sun, which now beat upon her mercilessly. After a second of total stillness, chesnut and white bodice is launched to the center of the stream, where she procedes to roll. Rising, and shaking, she looks for what other horses should inhabit this perfect place.
