when he awoke, slowly, the light filtering through his lids and 'low his thick lashes, he felt a litle better. rising shakily to his feet, the crimson stallion flicked his vanilla banner and stepped with wary nadir towards the water. lowering his dial to the shimmery surface, he began to drink, but his haunches suddenly weakened and he tumbled forth with a splash! attempting to stand again was more of a trial, for his haunches had become paralyzed. moving with awkward steps, sweat turning his blood red coat to a lusterous, wet crimson, the stallion dragged himself out of the pond, mud covering his slender limbs and belly. ivory ringed his usually complacent, merry optics, fear setting in with the paralysis. the litle demon had brought EPM... a sure sign of a slow and painful death. the young brujo laid in the mud at the water's edge, watching ripples on the surface and waiting for his time to end.
