Proverbs 18:10 The Name of the Lord is a strong Tower: the righteous runneth into It, and is safe.


(This is where a saint dwells or not)


Lamentations 3:22 – 23 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.


(This is what should be recognized and received effectively each morning for advancement by a saint or not)


2 Chronicles 20:12 O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You


(This is how a saint approaches any battle or not)


2 Chronicles 20:17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.


(This is the expected result of any saint’s humble and careful approach to wisely responding to difficulties or not)

The Bible uses many different symbols, yet the Word of God never contradicts Itself. Counseling with mature brethren is the wisest course to pursue when struggling to understand ambiguous verses. Where there are conflicting opinions, we always need to exercise charity and consider the possibility that we might be wrong. A consistent Christian life is far more important than everyone interpreting all Scripture exactly alike. However, this leaves no room for compromising or rejecting the plain teachings of the Bible.
