Subject: Strategies for victory in thought life control (Revised)

Strategies for victory in thought life control

Mental victory strategies - these are prioritized - but you should prioritize these on your own in your own way (because prioritizing 'wrong' can have a saint wondering why keeping your mental emotional state optimal is seemingly "failing" somewhat due to a more "essential" tactic not being 'used' as much as a "key" tactic as it should)

Influenced from the comments on the “Can satan Plant Thoughts In my mind and What Should we Do if he Can?” The Beat – Allen Parr youtube.com video 4/22/22

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sy-IoFnRhl8

1. Philippians 4:8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

(Read and meditate on the Word of Truth often)

2. Isaiah 55:11 so shall My Word be that goes out from My mouth; It shall not return to Me empty, but It shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent It.

(Connect this verse to any Scripture that seems to be something that came to you for a purpose that you hope will be completed in a favorable way in your life by the Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ

ex. Romans 8:37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, Who loved us.

Psalms 94:19 When the cares of my heart are many, Your consolations cheer my soul.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?

Matthew 7:7,8 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you, For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

John 10:10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

John 7:37,38 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to Me and drink. whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

Philippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that He Who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

3. Pray often that you trust the Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ can work out a situation that your limited thinking cannot figure out.

2 Chronicles 20:12 Our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”

4. Often remind yourself of Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

(along with reminding yourself of this verse often, combine the "lean not' command with a reminder of "low pressure" and "let go" and "easy going" to reduce any "strain" that might undermine the benefit of keeping Proverbs 3:5 in mind)

5. by faith, put on the whole armor of God in the morning every day

Ephesians 6:10 - 18 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints

(pray how you will use Scripture that is spoken often by you to be a shield of faith, use Scripture spoken often by you to be a helmet to protect your mind so you have refreshing love, peace and the joy of Jesus Christ - Nehemiah 8:10 - and Scripture spoken often by you to be a Sword of the Spirit to cast down imaginations and evil thoughts - 2 Corinthians 10:5)

6. Fast often.

(Fasting often can bring a person into a more "stable" way of existing thought/emotion wise and many other ways as well)

7. Praise often

(Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.

Nehemiah 8:10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength)

1 Samuel 30:6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God)

8: Watch your tongue and words

Proverbs 21:23 Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity.

Proverbs 18:21 The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

9. Proverbs 30:32 If you have done foolishly in lifting up yourself, or if you have thought evil, lay your hand upon your mouth.

(this is a humble way to respond when you sense your thinking has gone in a seriously wrong way)

10. Confess your sins in prayer regularly. 1 John 1:9 But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

11. Plead the Blood of Jesus over your mind and emotions. Call out for help from the Heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus Christ. Pray to be empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5:5 For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope.

Proverbs 18:10 The Name of the Lord is a strong Tower: the righteous runneth into It, and is safe.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
