Subject: Scriptural maze

Proverbs 16:15 In the light of the King's countenance is life; and His favour is as a cloud of the latter rain.

Proverbs 18:10 The Name of the LORD is a strong tower: The righteous run to Him, and are safe.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy Word is truth.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Romans 6:11 Even so see yourselves as dead to sin, but living to God in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:1-6 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died to this world, and your new, real life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, Who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry. For it is because of these things that the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience,

Matthew 6:33,34 But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

John 10:10 The thief comes only to take the sheep and to put them to death: he comes for their destruction: I have come so that they may have life and have it in greater measure.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Luke 17:7-10 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded? In the same way, when you have done all that you were commanded, you should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we’ve only done our duty.’

Jeremiah 12:1-3 You are in the right, O Lord, when I put my cause before You: still let me take up with You the question of Your decisions: why does the evil-doer do well? why are the workers of deceit living in comfort? You have planted them, and they have taken root; they grow and bear fruit. You are always on their lips but far from their hearts. But You, O Lord, have knowledge of me; You see me, searching and testing how my heart is with You: let them be pulled out like sheep to be put to death, make them ready for the day of death.

Joshua 24:14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.

Joshua 24: 22,23 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve Him. And they said, We are witnesses. Now therefore, put away the foreign gods which are in your midst, and incline your hearts to the LORD, the God of Israel.

1 Samuel 12:20-25 Don’t be afraid,” Samuel reassured them. “You have certainly done wrong, but make sure now that you worship the LORD with all your heart, and don’t turn your back on Him. Don’t go back to worshiping worthless idols that cannot help or rescue you—they are totally useless! For the sake of His great Name the LORD will not reject His people, because the LORD was pleased to make you His Own. Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way: Only fear the LORD and serve Him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things He has done for you. Yet if you persist in doing evil, both you and your king will perish.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 For though the fig-tree has no flowers, and there is no fruit on the vine, and work on the olive comes to nothing, and the fields give no food; and the flock is cut off from its resting-place, and there is no herd in the cattle-house: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

GOD, the Lord, is my strength;
He makes my feet like the deer’s;
He makes me tread on my high places.
To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments.

Job 7:17,18 What is mankind that You make so much of them, and that You pay attention to them? For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.

Psalm 8:3-5 When I consider thy heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained; what is mankind that You are mindful of them, human beings that You care for them? You made him a little less than angels, You have crowned him with glory and honour;

1 Corinthians 3:16,17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, Who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

1 Corinthians 15:20-23 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at His coming.

1 Corinthians 15:51-53 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence. And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: That they may walk in My Statutes, and keep Mine Ordinances, and do them: and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away. I, even I, am He that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; And forgettest the LORD thy Maker, Who hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?

Ecclesiastes 3:14 I know that whatever God does, it endures forever; nothing can be added to it nor can anything be taken from it, for God does it so that men will fear and worship Him (with awe-filled reverence, knowing that He is God).

Haggai 2:6-9 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine, saith the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.

Genesis 15:12-18 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. And He said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age. But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full. In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Ezra 8:21-23 Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of Him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance. For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek Him; but His power and His wrath is against all them that forsake Him. So we fasted and besought our God for this: and He was intreated of us.

Lamentations 5:19 Thou, O LORD, remainest for ever; Thy throne from generation to generation.

Jeremiah 9:23,24 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth Me, that I am the LORD Who exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

2 Chronicles 25:6-8 He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver. But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the LORD is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim. If you let them go with your troops into battle, you will be defeated by the enemy no matter how well you fight. God will overthrow you, for He has the power to help you or to trip you up.” And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The LORD is able to give thee much more than this.

Eclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity (a sense of divine purpose) in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.

Psalms 63:1-8 (A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.) O God, Thou art my God; early will I seek Thee: my soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for Thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; So I have gazed upon You in the sanctuary,To see Your power and Your glory. For this reason I will praise You while I live; in Your Name I will lift up my hands. You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise You with songs of joy. When I remember You on my bed, I meditate and thoughtfully focus on You in the night watches, For You have been my help, And in the shadow of Your wings (where I am always protected) I sing for joy. My soul (my life, my very self) clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.

2 Corinthians 4:5-18 You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, Who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies. So we live in the face of death, but this has resulted in eternal life for you. And having the same spirit of the faith, according to that which hath been written, 'I believed, therefore I did speak;' we also do believe, therefore also do we speak; knowing that He Who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into His presence. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Romans 5:1-10 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By Whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost Who is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Psalms 92:4-5 For You, O LORD, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands. How great are Your works, O LORD! Your thoughts are very deep!

Hebrews 10:14-25 For by the one offering He has perfected forever and completely cleansed those who are being sanctified (bringing each believer to spiritual completion and maturity), The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First He says: This is the Covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put My Laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write Them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary. And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter Heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the Blood of Jesus. by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, His body, and since we have a great High Priest over the house of God, let’s approach God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. and let us consider thoughtfully how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds, Not giving up our meetings, as is the way of some, but keeping one another strong in faith; and all the more because you see the day coming near.
