Author: Cait [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 18:51:49 08/23/02 Fri Some freinds of mine (being the weird, punks that everyone in school is afraid of) are convensed that public school, being controled by the government, is just another way for them to control us. I only remember a few of the things we brought up right now, but if you guys remember any feel free to add them to the list.... 1.) Ever notice how high school students have to get up oh so early to get to school, when studies show that they do better when they learn at night and that their body clocks are naturally set to be up at night. Naturely, some people have to get up at 4 and they don't get much sleep and more then half of teens are sleep deprived. The little known fact is that sleep deprivity is a common tactic in the F.B.I and terrist movements to extract information and to brain wash people 2.) Physical labor has been known to surpress rebelion. Two of my fellow students (not really freinds, but we talk) have perminate back problems because of lugging around a heavy backpack all day. Magizines protesting backpacks estamate the average backpack to be 40 pounds. I weighed mine earlier (damn weekend homework) and it is 65 pounds all together. Not to mention P.E / GYM (whatever your school calls it) were at least in the 3 diffrent schools I've gone to over the past 4 years have been were we are forced to run (unless injured, then you walk) Hum... that's all I remember right now... ((of course, Carly is compeltely clear of all these accusations, because being a punk herself, I doubt she would brainwash innocent children...))
