Trick lands on a jutting rock, Irritation hovering not far away. She coos, daring the lesser rank to try and impress her. Irritation accepts the challenge, rising above her and pelting into the sky. Before he starts his show, Trick calls out for the rest of the males to hear, her message clear. Stay away, do not intrude. Irritation takes little notice, too intent on his task. He dives down from the air, gathering three roses in his jaw and dipping them each in a pool of water. He lands on a rock facing Trick and places the roses in front of her. Not quite finished, the male lights the stem of each rose on fire. The water slows the flame so that it looks as if the flame was dancing up the rose. Before it can reach the flowering part of the roses, Irritation extinguishes the flame. The three tops float down, landing around Trick in a triangle. Still perfecting his maneuver for the silver's attention, the blue zips out of sight, only to reappear a moment later with a folded leaf clutched in his claws. He starts circling above Trick, sprinkling rose petals around her in a heart formation. The three rose buds mark the bottom point of the heart, and the top of the two curves. Trick admires the work of art surrounding her, and croons lovingly at Irritation. The blue cheeps happily and lands next to her. They mate.
