Thies wanders down the hall, whistling cheerfully to himself and grinning lightly as his fire lizards make an attempt to follow along. They're horribly off-key and their young voices can't reach some of the higher notes, but at least they had a good sense of rhythm. He stops whislting as he reaches the area he presumes to be the bathing rooms and pokes his head in, whislting a series of three notes to ask in a sort of comical way, "Hello?"

Receiving no response, he shrugs and enters fully, tossing his shirt on the floor and sending Simae and Celent to perch on the edge of one of the bathing pools. They do so heistantly, then once they get there and catch sight of the bubbling and whirling water they become so facinated they forget that they aren't perched on their master. Thies grins lightly and strips off his boots and leggings, kicking them aside before slipping into the warm water.

He winces as it laps against the cut on his side, and very carefully he unwraps the bandages given to him by Meaven and splashes it a little to clean the dried blood off. Simae and Celent shuffle along the edge of the pool, following the current of the water until it comes to its end. They then fly back to the head of the bath and repeat the process, Thies watching them for a moment and giving a light chuckle before reaching over to get a good handful of sweetsand.

He mixes it with the water then carefully rubs it into his cut, every so often wincing as his fingers hit a tender spot. He gets a fresh handful and procedes to lather every hint of packtail stench off of him, and calls Celent over to help him with his hair. The blue complies, filling his talons with sweetsand then rubbing it fiercly into Thies' sandy-brown hair, wings spread as he balances on his friend's neck.

Thies shoos him back to the side and dunks his head under the water to rinse his hair, then gives his head a shake, sending a fair spray across the room. Simae gives a startled cry as the water strikes him and goes aloft, flapping his wings to get dry. Thies rolls his eyes and stands, grabbing a towel off a rack and wrapping it around himself while he procedes to wash his shirt. He'd have to wear the thinner one until it was dry, but the Weyr seemed to have warmed some since he first arrived. Maybe he was just getting used to it.

He starts whistling again as he dunks the shirt into the current and applies sweetsand to it, pondering what he should do next. Maybe he should track down Meaven...she was headed in the direction of the Rider's Weyrs last he saw. Maybe she'd like some company...
