Kaelomar was once a vast land of peace. Life was kept in harmony by nine gods: Dermetra the God of Fire, Siron the God of Air, Trios the God of Water, Menua the God of Earth, Sinops the God of Time, Nusir the God of Death, Recita the God of Chance, Quirth the God of Love, and Traloan, the God of Gravity. The gods were kept pleased by the offerings and loyalty of the people of Kaelomar; they were adored by their subjects and Kaelomar prospered. Then the Dark One came. His true name was not known; he was called Dark One by the people, Tirith'a by the gods, meaning "shadow of evil". His power was great, far greater than even that of the gods. He captured them, one by one, and placed their spirits in nine stones, then scattered them all across Kaelomar. Without the gods, the people were defenseless against the Dark One. He enslaved the land, killing everything in it and turning the people into mindless slaves to serve only his purposes. Hope looked to be lost for Kaelomar. But there was one thing Tirith'a overlooked: Silvia. Silvia was a spirit, created by and faithful to Recita the God of Chance. When the Dark One had imprisoned her mistress, Silvia had watched in horror, unable to aid her. Now she and she alone of those left know where the gods' stones lie and how to revive them. You have been given a choice to aid Silvia in her quest and save Kaelomar, or to forget this tale and return from where you came. The choice is yours. Choose wisely.  |
