Thanks to Anthony for drawing my attention to this situation, as I have had previously nothing but positive experiences on EBAY. Having read the entire board, I am not confident in this Ebay seller, but by the same token, they are not necessarily fraudulent.
I was one of the successful bidders, and was also taken aback by the facts presented here.

As I have not yet sent payment, I am inclined to wait and see what happens. When a seller takes a month to deliver (this is extremely suspicious), they have been trading for less than a month, and the auction does not appear in MY EBAY, something is amiss.

Also, Ebay does not have them as a registered user, nor previous aliases.

A few of the winning bidders have 0 feedback, which concerns me, due to the fact that they could be new users set up to simply bid on this auction. I have been outbid or shilled by fraudulent bidders in the past.

My idea is to try and pin the seller down as much as possible, to prove their legitimacy-for instance, how long have they been trading, what is their business address, are they registered with the IRS, where have they previously done business if they are just setting up on the internet, and if they have done business elsewhere, tangible evidence that they had legit customers.

If everyone is agreeable, we should send a group email voicing our concerns in a responsible but firm manner, and see what they come back with. If it is rote response, and can provide us with no legitimate answers to our questions, I think its time, fair fellow Ebayers, to fight for your money back with your card companies, and cancel those checks. Bestbuy has this camera on sale with 32MB memory this week for $299. And you know, they will be around, beyond March 11.
