Certain parts of these stories are a little bit far-fetched. First of all, if Makino was suffering from leukimia, most likely the doctor will not agree to conceal it from the husband (considering that the family of Doumyoji should be well-informed of this) or while they were trying to save the baby, they would have told Doumyoji the truth.

Then, even if Doumyoji was hurt badly by the fact she left him, the his parents are still there, so the business should not be suffered as much as it claimed in the story.

If she was suffering from terminal leukemia, while doing the regular check-up for the baby, I don't think the doctor will advise her to keep the baby.

I just think the story doesn't fit the real life well.
