Georgia Dog Hunters

I just saw this on another board, and wanted to pass it on ..

It doesn't matter if you're a deer hunter, coon hunter, squirrel hunter, rabbit hunter or hog hunter, please try to attend an upcoming meeting this Thursday night (Dec 11th). The meeting will be held in the Courthouse in Waynesboro, Georgia at 7:00 pm Thursday night. There will be at least two State Legislators there. State Senator Don Cheeks (D) Augusta and State Representative Alberta Anderson (D) Waynesboro.

This meeting is a town hall meeting in which the Legislators are trying to get a sense of what is going on with dog hunting. My guess is they are trying to get a feel for how many voters (i.e. the people that will reelect them), support dog hunting. Deer hunting with dogs was the first type of dog hunting to come under attack but if it gets outlawed how long before rabbit hunting and coon hunting get it as well? And if you follow that line on out to other types of hunting that don't even involve dogs? We are really starting to get some political attention to our cause and any support we can get is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your support ..
