 Searching for information about experiences of Lt. John Di Girolamo while serving aboard U.S.S. Darke APA 159 from 1944-1946--battles, islands, etc. Departed San Diego 1944 and returned to Norfolk 1946. John was from Mishawaka,Indiana
We know that he had a shipmate who was from Puerto Rico, Emilio________ and another officer ______Hughes from Port Huron, Michigan. You may e-mail me if you have any information.
