I was only on her a short timt as I served in 1944 45 and 46 on the apa 144 uss clinton and when the clinton returned to the U.S. in 46 we all got transfered to the mellette and sailed from san pedro thouugh the cannel to yorktown in Va ,and I was discharged and was sent home.
