 I BELIEVE V-6 STOOD FOR A NAVY TRAINING PROGRAM TO EDUCATE AND TRAIN YOUNG MEN IN COLLEGE TO BECOME OFFICEERS?

A "STRIKER" MENT A SEAMAN 1/C WAS WORKING IN A DEPARTMENT LIKE THE GALLEY TO BECOME A COOK AND OKNCE HE PASSED AN EXAM WOULD BECOME A 3RD CLASS PETTY OFFICER.OR "SHIPS COOK 3RD CLASS. . THE SAME FOR A S 1/C WHO WAS "STRIKING ' TO BECOME A GUNNERS MATE 3 RD CLASS. HE WORKED UNDER PETTY OFFICER LEARNING ABOUT GUNS AND AMO. ETC.
