Subject: Frank Hawkins Jr and USS Brontes

 I am the son of Frank Hawkins Jr. who trained at Sampson and then served on the USS Brontes AGP-17. I am looking for any one who might have known him or who might have any information about him or the activities of the ship he was on. According to my mother the ship was on the way to the pacific when the war ended.

Frank was from nearby Naples, NY although I think he was living in Rochester, NY at the time he enlisted.
