I saw your posting on my site's message board.
The best way to approach this is to contact your State Senator or Congressman, but it would help if he sends an SF180 form in to get his records.
In New York State where I live we had a Congressman Ben Gilman who was great at helping with this (he was redistricted out of office by his own party), and the current Senators are also very helpful when it comes to actually supporting our Vets with real help.
