The Clinton transported over 2000 Chinese prisoners of war from Haiphong, Indo China to Chinwangtao in northern China.(Oct.1945) They didn't have a clue what is was like to live on a ship and after a few days of a week long voyage the ship was in such a mess that the C.O. of the Clinton ordered a posting of some rules and regulations that would hopefully remedy the situation.
I used to have a copy of those regulations which was printed in English and Chinese but in my moving down here I lost it. Can you help me please? I would appreciate another copy of those regulations and will gladly pay you any costs to get it. Thanks. Sincerely, Gene Brick
