Hi, My deceased father, Roger Heffernan, went through boot at Sampson from about June to August, 1944. Coincidently, he was also in a Company 113, Unit C-7. Due to his work experience (IBM) and ability to type, he was assigned to his COs (maybe company comander's) office as a Yoeman, and handled all sorts of company paper work. While working in the office, he typed several lengthy letters to my mother in NYC, for which I just found. Actually, he typed almost a letter per day - quite impressive. In his letters, he does mention the names of several of his company mates, but I haven't had a chance to read them all to see if Angelo or Frank is mentioned. I would be interested to know if Angelo or Frank were there during the same time frame as my father, and if so, if they were actually in the same company together. And ultimately, if they were in the same company, would you happen to have a copy or scan of the company picture. Thank you, Dan Heffernan.
