Subject: passing of Sampson Trainee Author: Tex Seamon [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 07:24:37 06/10/11 Fri William James Burnett passed May 27th, 2011, he pass through Sampson and was assigned to the USS LSM 396 and served as a EM3, stationed with the LSM 396 at San Diego, Ca; and was honorably discharge June 18th, 1946. Bill returned to Cooperstown, NY where he owned and operated the local Western Auto store until 1979 when he retired.
