My brother served aboard the Telfair sometime during the Korean War. His name is F. R. Beach (Bob). He was a boatswain mate and enlisted in the Navy at the beginning of WW II. I was stationed aboard the Talladega (APA 208) from 1951 to 1955, and met my brother in San Diego on one occasion and another in Sasebo,Japan. Is there anyone from the Telfair that remembers "Beach"? If there is, do you have any pictures of my brother. Incidentally, I was a "snipe" while in the Navy. Bob Beach was my half brother. He passed away a few years back.
