After being offline for over a year and partially "up" for about 6 months, Hullnumber.com is back up and running.
When I started my search for information 5 1/2 years ago,Hullnumber and NavSource were my best sources of information and contacts.

NavSource is a site that lists all of the ships, links to their histories and posts images of the ships. I think it is the best site on the web related to Navy Ships.

Hullnumber is the best site on the web for posting contact information.

Through that site I found most of my early contacts, including Glen Ayer who provided half of the material I started the site with in February 2002-back when the site went live with 5 megs of information. (it has over 500 megs of information as of last night).

Dave, the webmaster is not ready to post pictures yet, but you can post your contact information so that you can be found. What he has done it make it secure so that spammers can't pick up you address, people have to register to be able to contact you. A GREAT feature in these days of spam and untrue multi-forwarded emails.

Check out the site...like I said, it's one of the two best sites on the web for information.
