Subject: TRAINING AT SAMPSON 1943, LCI(L)407 Author: Kim B [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 07:40:37 05/29/07 Tue I am looking for anyone who may have known my father at Camp Sampson in October, November 1943, or who served with him on the LCI(L)407 from 1944 to 1945. He was Carson Tipton from Virginia and he passed away in 1986. I do not know his company number but he entered active service October 14, 1943 and went through boot camp at Camp Sampson.
