Deyrni heard the dragon before he saw her, and he pulled out a throwing knife, in case if he needed it. but when he saw the scene, he flipped his knife back under his cloak and pulled out his bandages. He ran over to her, studying her wounds. They looked pretty bad. He started to bandage her, his expert fingers moving quickly and efficiently. He had a hard time with her, being small, even fror an elf, and she was a full-grown dragon. He had almost run out of bandages when he finished.

Looking over to her mate, he discovered that he was dead. Frowning, he turned back to Laigna. He flipped himself up onto a tree next to her and waited....
