Get a chiltons service book from an auto parts store. Page 4-18 tells you how to get the trouble codes. There is a two wire service connector behind the center console. Codes 1-9 indicated by short flashes. Two digit codes use a long flash for the first digit followed by a nuber of short flashes(e.g. code 14,1 long,4short.)
There are two connectors beside each other. Only disconnect the two wire service connector, not the Data Link connctor to the right.

1.Use a jumper wire to connect the two terminals of the connector together.
2.Turn ignition switch ON, Chech engine light will display stored codes by a series of flashes.

There are too many codes to list but here are the code that I have ran into:
1 heated O2 sensor
17 vehicle speed sensor
23 Knock sensor

Of Course my problems may vary from yours so you might have different codes. If none of these codes appear by a Chilton's serivce manual for further details.
