In order to make a success of internet marketing, and to see your products fly of your website, and your inbox get jammed with notifications from Paypal that you have made a sale, it is first essential that you get your offers to the notice of the internet buying public.
As you trawl the webpages looking for a suitable way of publicising the brilliant products, that I know each of you have on your sites, you will go up many blind alleys. So much of what you are offered on the internet is just so much rubbish. You succumb to the blandishments of some man in a suit, or some very attractive girl, and you sign up to the latest get rich quick scheme, only to find later that you have been wasting your time; and frequently your money as well. How annoying and frustrating that can be. You can spend days surfing traffic exchanges, or posting ads on text ad sites, or classifieds, only to realise that people are only looking at your ads in order to gain credits to post their own ads, which, in turn, you look at just to make it easier to put on more of your ads. What a vicious circle that can turn out to be. To spend days, or weeks doing all that work for little or no result is one of the most demoralising and depressing things you can do in internet marketing.
You might ask if there is any real point in continuing this farce of pretending to be an internet marketer. Is there ever going to be a sure way to break out of this circle of hell called advertising.
You will be happy to be told that there are some.
One of the best is search engine placement. If you can get your website on the first page of Google or Yahoo or any of the better search engines, and do that for some popular search terms that relate to your product, the business will start to flood in. But to succeed here you need to allow yourself a lot of time, or be prepared to spend a lot of money. Websites dont just magic themselves onto the prominent positions. A good tip is to have very good metatags on your website, and use as many combinations of keywords as you can think up to describe your product. If you use some slightly misspelled names in your website, or perhaps give it a name, or use one for yourself that is a slightly misspelled version of a very famous persons name you can get lots of traffic that way. Its amazing how many people spell incorrectly when typing in search engines; and quite a lot of them dont even realise their mistake when they come to the page. Thinking outside the box, is one of the keys to low cost internet success.
There are many other ways that you can use to get better placement for your offers, but I dont want to give all of my secrets away. Some I prefer to keep for myself.
If you want an easy way to get your offers to the notice of the buying public, and you dont want to go to all the trouble of search engine optimising, e mail advertising is a good and cost effective way to do it.
Safelists are good. The only drawback is that they expect you to accept a load of messages back in return for those that you send out, and this can bring you back to the problem that you had with the traffic, and text ad exchanges.
A good way to overcome that problem is to use double opt in submitters, where the people have agreed to receive messages without sending theirs out. There are a large amount of them on offer. They vary in price from about $1.99 to $100. I prefer to go for the middle/ lower range. Perhaps around $20. Some of these submitters offer resell rights as well. These are the best ones to go for, as they can result in lowering your costs, and that is what it is all about really.
For email advertising this is a very useful site to look at. It has a very good range of programs, and most of them give resell rights as well

However you proceed I wish you the best of luck. Search engine placement is the best longterm way to get business, but if you want to give your offers a good kick start to get them moving I would suggest the email submitters.
