~It was a cool summer night, a slight breeze carrying the scent of the human he cared for. Along with her scent however, came one of a male, causing the jelous stallion to trot the fence where they were and pin his ears as the two passed.
Warrior, calm down. The girl's voice was like music to him, her kindness raidiating from her like warmth from the sun. Jared's my friend, you can trust him.
Not convinced however, the stallion continued to pace the fence, even after the two had left. When he heard a stuggle, he began to snort and paw at the fence, and an unknown rage filled him when he heard his human scream for help. Rearing and slashing at the fence, he broke the top bar enough that he could jump it. Charing at the male human, the cause of his girl's distress, he reared, breaking an arm of the man. Not giving him a chance to scramble away, he reared and came down hard, forcing the would-be attacker away from his girl.
Even after the man had left, he circled his girl, who could no nothing but cry, long into the night. The girl . . . his girl . . .
