I nod my head and greet her. "Good morning." I run my hand down the big gelding's leg to take a look at his cut. I examine it and then straigten up. "Not a big deal. Just a minor cut that will need to be cleaned and banaged regularly." I hold up a finger and go to get my antiseptic and bandages. "Please hold him steady." I dab some of the antiseptic onto the cut and pat him soothingly so he wouldn't get too uncomfortable. When he stands still, I clean it out two more times and then wrap up the cut good and tight. "He doesn't seem to be in a lot of pain so I reccomend a cleaning of the cut twice a day and a fresh bandage each time. I wouldn't ride him for a few days and then you can bring him back in a bit for another check up. How bad is his limping? Would you mind walking him out for me please?"
