The well-tanned, golden haired girl smiled, her almost-faceted crimnson eyes shining. She gave a sigh, a stretch, and a yawn.

It was good to be outside again. She realized how much she missed it. Climbing rocks, treking the wilds of Pern, leaving her destination up to fate and chance to decide.

Not that she beleived in fate or chance. No, rather, she hated the idea of someone or something else having control over her life. To her, her life was hers, and hers alone. Whatever should happen to her, it was HER actions that caused it. Not fate or chance, or any of that nonsense.

She gazed accross the bech, her ears twitching at the sound of waves crashing against the shoreline. Today was a beautiful, although breezy day, and she was glad she was out here to enjoy it.

Giving another yawn, she took the time to look through sleepy ees, and stopped in mid-yawn.

A firelizard, and her owner, had a clutch, and the girl couldn't help but feelsomewhat excited.

This could be her chance! She could perhaps Impress a flit here, andif she would not Impress a dragon, perhaps flits were meant for her instead!

Hurriedly, she rushed over, being careful not to crowd the rider, his dragon, or the queen. She gave a smile, and, pushing a strand of gold lead astra, spoke. "Hello!If it be in your best interest," she looked from owner to flit. " May I perhaps have the chance to Impress one of your children?"

Feeling that this was not good enough, she added her easons why. "I remember, a long time ago, my sister and I found an injured flit. We tried to take care of it, but it died. And, yousee, it would be nice to have another. I've waited so long for an opportunity like this, and I intend to at least attempt to get a firelizard, of any olor.Iam not choosey."

The girl held her breath, and out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glance of a very surprising sight...

Her sister had Impressed! What's more- she was coming right this way to join her!

Secriaye had thought that some fresh air would do both her and her lifemate some good to take a walk, and she took him to the beach, and the little blue gave an excited chirrup.

-Look, Secri! this place is fll of sand, just like the Hatching Grounds...only, only there wasn't any water.-

Secriaye smiled, a watchful eye over Bornoth, seeing to it that the three-legged dragon, her precious, did not trip. She would never forgive herself if the poor little darling fell and hurt himself on thier first walk.

Bornoth was excited beyond beleif, and with keen eyes, he observed everything and anything there was to see. -Look!I've never seen so much water! And see, the white waves remind me of sunlight, for some reason. And, look there, see all that saegrass piled up over there in a heap! You could feed it to all those herdbeasts you told me of....and there.....LOOK!-

Secriaye looked towards the blue did, her eyes wideneing. "It's Sundrae! And she's by a firelizard clutch!"

She almost stopped right there, and would have called to her sister, but her sister seemed busy, and she wanted Bornoth to remain a surprise for her sister to find.

She walked forward, and when she was close enough, her heart leapt. Maybe, she could have a flit! She had always wanted one, especially after the sick one died on the twins.

She watched her sister turn her gaze towards her, and the golden haired girl let out a surprised gasp. "Secri! You Impressed!"

Secriaye smiled,nooding. "His name is Bornoth...nevermind his lost leg. He's just as capable as the others. I KNOW it." she smiled, walking to her sister and giving her a hug. "I missed you."

Sundrae smiled and nodded. "And I you," she turned back to the clutch, and since, she knew her sister was not bold enough to ask herself, she asked the question right there for her twin."My sister would also love to take one of your children. She is my twin, suffering from the same loss as I have, and no doubtly wanting to Impress a 'lizard as well, of any color- perhaps more than I do."
