For a minute, she hesitates, then nods slowly, tears threatening to trickle down her face. "It was the disease. He caught it at a gather--so many people..." again her voice trailed off, but this time she didn't start again. She gave her head a brief shake, impatiently dashing her tears away. "It's in the past, and I can't change it by thinking about it," she said, more to herself than Sundrae. Mentally she scolded herself for showing an outburst of emotion around someone she didn't know very well, though she felt comfortable around Sundrae. Sira smiled a little and looked at Sundrae. "No, I'm not offended, if that's what you're thinking," she said, guessing by Sundrae's expression.
