Subject: Oh Oh

She watches as the eggs crack open one by one, and the clumsy newborns emerge. As each egg cracks open, she knows there is less of a chance for her to get an egg. Unable to be sad in such happy company, she smiles and congratulates each new pair as they walk out of the cave or meet. She brushes her dark hair out of her eyes and walks a few steps back to make room for all the people entering and exiting the cave. She grits her teeth and her hand goes back to the wound on her stomach. After the eigth egg hatches, she finally grows sad again. She watches the last egg nervously, and her eyes darting jealously to the other newly linked pairs and she remebered the happiness of the pairs that already left the cave. She looked at the red mother, and the envy in her eyes was replaced with awe. Her eyes drifted back to last egg, curious as to what color drake sat inside the pearly white shell. She looked at the remaining people, also hoping for the last dragon. "Good luck..." she says to them, smiling a little. Her hands begin to shake uncontrollably. She clasps them tightly behind her back, not wanting the others to see how nervous she was. She looked at the ground, trying to hide the tears that were forming in her eyes, as she knew she had little chance of bonding to the last dragon. She sniffs and wipes the tears away and looks back at the last egg, her eyes glued to the smooth white shell.
