Hi David,

You asked: "A personal indwelling is only miraculous" and then you answered for me. Thanks for putting words in my mouth, but that is not what I am arguing or believe.

Moreover, here is the evidence that clearly shows your assumptions and the fact that you are the one proof-texting! First, I have never said that the Spirit does not indwell us, but what, praytell me, does John 7:38-39 have to do with a personal, literal bodily, NON-MIRACULOUS INDWELLING that you have read into the text? The only way you can suggest this is for you to hunt and peck for certain other passages, pull them out of context, and bring along with it your guarded assumptions, and then try to make them all fit. The very thing you accuse me of :-)

As for Mark 16:17-20 - does this still apply to you and everyone else today? - "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpants; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following."

Also, are you going to argue that Mark 16:9-20 is not found in the original and now make that as part of your argument? That is a very poor view to hold but you are free to hold to it and the burden of proof is now on you to show that Mark 16:9-20 was never a part of the orginal. That is an altogether different topic, which I will not enter into on the subject at hand.

Brotherly,
Doug
