. shadowed gem trails the procession of quadruped beasts, sinewy physique supported by lithe quads, adoptees of a paced three beat. fair tinted canvas is cast into a luster as path crosses that place where dark meets light, curves dips of bodice thrown into sharp contrast. . .deadly beauty. twins, formerly plastered to skull, stand at attention once more as procession passes the regal male. frame slips out of the ‘line’ and haunches fold beneath the jewel, settling her into an unceremonious poise aside her mate. muzzle is extended briefly, bumping the underside of his own both in an offhand salutation and her trivial display of her lesser significance. soft ‘whine’ parts with she, accompanying her greeting .

. the feral one ambles over to the resting place of the second diseased carcass, settling into a crouch near the corpse, muzzle resting lightly upon paws. she had not contributed to the felling of the prey and therefore, would wait until the other had feasted before filling herself. specs follow each being as they move forth to eat, analyzing the new, familiarizing with the old. things had changed, no doubt, but change, in some cases, can be good.
