Subject: Rolecall & Ranks

Now... about the ranks. I've been thinking about it a lot and reading some books and stuff, and I've finally created an idea that works with reality + roleplaying. Here's how it is, listen carefully!


1) Both Alpha spots are NOT to be challenged for. Period.
2) The Beta spots are reserved for a couple - Faylem & Shadow Spinner's new mating works very well with my idea, so thank you very much, and they are NOT challengable either, though someone could challenge Faylem for rights to breed with Shadow Spinner. In that case he would still not lose his rank.
3) All other positions are challengable, male or female. A lot of times the females will try and get to be the same rank as the mate they choose, unless of course they breed with the Alpha, so that's usually where fights break out. Generally wolves care more about breeding and mates than ranks, but being equal with your mate is pretty important.
4) Males can and will challenge for females... for example, another male could challenge Faylem, and if Faylem loses then Shadow Spinner has to do whatever the winning one says. Faylem would lose his rank, too. In this case that can't happen because the Betas are unchallengable, but in other ranking pairs this can easily occur.
6)Because both Alpha and Beta cannot be challenged for, it makes Gamma an extremely important and high rank. So .bane., since you want a really high rank, Gamma would be a very good option to challenge for. *winks*
7) As of yet, there are no open ranks for males, because we have no active males. If Obsidian wishes to grant a male a position, he will do so, and it also helps if the male breeds with the female of that rank.
8) I am clearing all ranks except for Alpha and Beta... time to start challenging, claiming, breeding, and earning properly!!!
