...as we knew it would. A 122ºF, 40-minute induction burn had to have some consequences even if the nerves in the prostate are not heat-sensing nerves. The crust has begun to flake away. With my typical irreverence I'll say I'm back in the pink, with a few little bits of what looks like cooked pepperoni in it. Just like the road-rash we remember as we learned things NOT to try with a bicycle, it flakes away, exposing more sensitive skin. It isn't painful--I'd say so if it was. But I *know* before I see it, when I'm passing another bit of that toasted prostate/urethra tissue. Let's just say it adds some ...incentive to keep pushing fluids.

The evening *of* my procedure I experienced frequent trips to pee that felt a lot more urgent than the relatively little I produced. With the resumption of the other symptoms as-describes above, that happens sometimes, too. But it has happened intermittently for me, ever since my major prostate-infection in '02, so it just may be part of life and not entirely a consequence of the procedure.

For now, I'd still tell my Doc let's go for it. But, be ready for the show NOT to be over in a week. That's just the intermission. RKBA! Best regards.
