Subject: Period 3 Heavyweight Survey - All Interested in this class please respond

I want to establish a registry of sorts for our vintage superbikes. We saw some great bikes out in 2002 and there is a lot of excitement about the class for 2003 with several new bikes being built. I would like to find out what we can expect to see in the near future. Could anyone planning to compete in this class declare the following information:

Rider
Year
Make
Model
Background
Speed secrets (hey, I had to try!)

If you are building one or know of one being built please relay that information to me as well. If we can get a strong field of good vintage superbikes together we may be able to attract some special interest/awards. After the great racing at Mosport, I think I'm not the only one excited about the class.

I'll start the ball rolling with the first one:

Tony Reis, 1978 Suzuki GS1000, built by Richard Biggs to be a loose copy of Yoshimura bikes


I'd appreciate hearing about any bikes out there. Either respond to me directly or to the VRRA forum.
