Please help save a Stray Mixed Pit Bull found in my Neighborhood

My husband and I found a stray mixed Pit Bull yesterday morning in the Woods of Wimblemdon/Champion Forest area, while walking our dog. We posted ads in the area, however, did not receive any calls from the owner. Today, we brought the dog (female)to the Harris County Animal Control center and were sadly informed that if the dog is not claimed by Tuesday, she will be euthanized.

I am making a plead to Spindletop to try and save the dog. I feel guilty about bringing her to a shelter for adoption only to discover they do not adopt out such a breed. She is very sweet and won us over during the day we spent with her. She likes to kiss and loves human contact. She appears to be trained and seems to have mastered the walk.

Please Spindletop, you are her only hope for a second chance. She is currently at the 612 Canino Road center.
