My husband and I took in a pit bull puppy over a year ago, and thought that he would be a nice addition to our home. we already have an american bulldog, which we thought could use a playmate.
the first several months were wonderful and happy, but near october of 2006 they started fighting.
It seems as though she is starting the fights--- he is still in his puppy stage and is constantly wanting to play with her. well, when she has had enough of this, it starts a fight, and well they are both powerful animals, both of them end up hurt.
we are afraid they will seriously injure each other. They have been seperated since october, and we only bring them together for a couple of hours-- supervised.
This has not resolved the problem, and we can no longer keep up with crating and rotating them.
we are desperate but cannot see ourselves taking him to the pound, although to be honest it has crossed our minds out of frustration.
Please, if you know any one that would be able to give him the home, love and attention he deserves, please email me.
